We'll be installing this sign soon. Its 47"x 84"x10" thick, single sided. It sits on a brick base. Because its in a utility right-of-way we couldn't put in an actual masonry base because the utilities may need access at some time which means removing the sign while they work. We're using faux brick panels attached to an aluminum angle frame. More pics to come as we progress.

Here's a view of the faux brick panels we will be using. At $78.71 each, it doesn't pay to make them ourselves. I got samples from the company. They are made of a material similar to HDU but more dense and less granular.

Classy job John, I'll be anxious to see the finished product with that unique base.

We fabricated the aluminum frame and faced it with Hardy board. Tomorrow we do the faux brick wrap.

Here's a couple pix of our brick base wrap. If the weather obliges, we'll install this week. The top is 1" PVC to look like bluestone.

That's awesome. Who is the company that makes that?

We were blessed with two mild (50s) temp days Saturday and Sunday. We dug the footings and poured concrete with J bolts on Saturday and installed the sign today. There will be a landscaping company who will put in an 18" planter bed around the base come spring.

Love the brick base. Did you use mortar between the joints? Can't tell from the photo

Hi Bob, I butted the joints of the two side panels and applied touch-up paint that I bought from the manufacturer. I would definitely use this product again.

Thanks all for your kind words. Now that spring is here a landscape company will come and remove several more rows of pavers to make room for a small planting bed to go around the base. This will enhance the overall look and give a margin of protection to the faux brick.
